What would your ideal kitchen look like? For our client, she desired to have something that was light, bright, and functional. Previously, this kitchen had dark wood cabinets and a layout that was far from ideal. The kitchen originally had two entrances and was open from the back with an island in the center which made workflow traffic difficult. Lots of cooking happens in this beautiful space, so functionality was very important. We closed the entrance from the back and added in more cabinet space for additional storage. The new entrance still leads directly to the dining room and has a pocket door  that slides into the wall to save space while acting as a partition between the kitchen and formal dining room. We placed a small round table in the center with two chairs and stools for eating breakfast. The new cabinetry features an off-white color with gold hardware.  The sink and backsplash feature a warm brassy design that further adds an element of luxury. This kitchen turned out to be a real attention-grabber!
