Will there be any delays in my project?

In terms of our design work and turn around time, we as Design Delicacy are operating as normal during the pandemic. However, some vendors we work with may have a slower turn around time but not to worry - we have lots of vendors to choose from so we can work with those who are currently up and running and have a faster production time.

Do you service only michigan?

No, we can come to you anywhere inside of the U.S. (and outside if you need us to!) For our Full Service Design Package, we conduct in-home visits mostly in Michigan and across Florida, but we also offer customized design packages no matter where you are located. If you want to work with us, we'd be happy to travel to you at a reasonable price. Ask us for more details!

Do I have to pay for the first meeting?

No! We recognize that many people are uncomfortable with this practice and we are willing to have a complimentary 1 hour consultation to see exactly what you're looking for. This time together is like a "fact find" to get to know you personally, what your needs are, and to explain our process and contract to you.

How can an Interior Designer save me money?

We always say that "Time is money" and there's no doubt that re-decorating your room can take a lot of online searching, time, effort, and can even cause you to become confused with so many options on the table. Our job role is to get to know you personally and what your design style is, what your needs, wants, and desires are, and to translate that into a design. We will bring everything to your home so you don't have to waste time shopping from store to store or to spend countless hours online. Additionally, our expertise comes into play with our extensive knowledge of products and knowing which fabrics and materials will work with your personal lifestyle to help narrow things down. Our white glove company is very skilled at fixing anything - so if there are any issues when shipping occurs, we will handle all of that for you so you never have to know about returns, loss of money, or how claim processes work. We are your furniture experts and take all of the stress and anxiety out of the design process.

How do you charge for design fees?

Our company believes firmly in charging a fixed rate per room unless a client opts for our hourly services. We believe strongly in transparency and knowing what you're getting into before sealing the deal. You told me you work with hundreds of vendors...Which ones?

It depends on your personal design style and budget. Many of these vendors are only accessible through an Interior Designer and do not sell to the general public. Others can be found online through other retail shops. It depends on how customized you want to get and what quality you're searching for. We would be happy to give you a list of some of our vendors if you tell us more about your project.

how much do i need to budget for my project?

That all depends on what you are looking to do. Are you looking just to replace furniture/decor items or are you looking to renovate an entire space? Contact us and we can help you come up with a specific budget that works best for you.

How long will my project take?

It depends on a couple of different factors. If you are looking at our Full-Service Design Package, the actual design process takes a few weeks give or take depending on how many revisions are needed. For furniture to be delivered and set up may take several months depending on restrictions with the pandemic or other world events. For the Virtual/E-design package, the design process will take around the same time but you can ask us to source things that are only in stock for a quicker result.

Design is such a personal thing for each individual that we approach it in different ways depending on who we are working with. At the end of the day, it's YOUR home we are designing, not ours so if you're not happy, we aren't either. (And if you didn't show off to all your friends, then we didn't do a good job!)
